Triumph of Special People, Inc. provides :

· Personal Care Attendant (PCA) Services

· Supported Independent Living (SIL)Services

These services encourage persons with developmental disabilities to lead independent, meaningful lives. Our programs allow persons with disabilities to reside in homes or apartments that are integrated within our communities rather than institutions. Whether the individual chooses to live with his/her family or in a home or an apartment on his/her own, our quality PCAs will help your loved one maintain independent lives with support. By living in their own neighborhoods, enjoying friends, and participating in community activities, persons with disabilities can lead full lives.

 

Sponsorships

Triumph of Special People, Inc. sponsors developmentally disabled people who otherwise would not be ale to afford the many social opportunities available to special people in this area, such as:

· Social and recreational activity admission fees

· Social club membership dues

· Funding to assist in paying for group travel expenses for people with disabilities

· Financial assistance for transportation needs of organized travel groups

Triumph operates a program that locates safe and decent housing and makes apartments available at far less than market rates.

Triumph currently has facilities for four waiver consumers. These facilities are not group homes; they are residential apartments.

The housing program provides a setting that features:

· Social interaction between the occupants as neighbors; backyard barbecues and other events will be more frequent.

· Integration with other neighbors who have been supportive of our special residents at the original location.

· Easy access to community amenities.
